While strolling through the lot this morning at Rapids Ford I was struck by two red Edge parked by each other. The colors were so close, but just didn’t look the same.
I checked the window stickers, and yeah – one is the 2012 Red Candy Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and the other is the new 2013 Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.
Can you tell which is which?
The Ruby Red is on the left, the Red Candy is on the right.
You gotta love the minor tweaks and new names for colors. My wife said it best, “It’s like when you were little and got a new box of crayons – half the fun was seeing the new names for colors.”
But the bottom line still holds true: a year from now it’s not going to matter, these will just be called “red” :)
